By Plane
Regensburg can be reached conveniently from Nuremberg and Munich international airports: Munich Airport is 85 kilometres from Regensburg. There are connections by rail or the Airportliner service. If you hire a car, the journey to Regensburg takes about one hour. The Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg is 110 kilometres from Regensburg. The journey can be made by rail or hire car.

By Train
Regensburg is reached on international train routes: Amsterdam/Brussels-Vienna-Budapest and Zurich/Paris-Prague, and with direct national connections from Berlin/ Dresden, Hamburg/Hanover, Dortmund/Cologne, Frankfurt, Karlsruhe/Stuttgart and Munich. Service hotline 0180/6 99 66 33.
The central station lies to the south of the Old Town, in easy walking distance. All the important bus routes go from here, including the Altstadtbus to the Old Town. Bike-Ambulanz at the central station hires bicycles.
By Car/Bus
Take highway A3 to Regensburg from Cologne, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Passau, Vienna and Salzburg, highway A93 from Munich, Weiden, Hof and Dresden. Free parking is possible on the large car park on Wöhrdstrasse (unsupervised). For further information on parking.
If you prefer a cheaper way to travel: take a bus, which is a good alternative not only for young people.
